THE PUB JUG COLLECTORS OF AUSTRALIA (INC.)
HISTORY
In 1993 I saw the need to start a club for collectors of whisky
advertising and related memorabilia. Bernie McDonell and myself (Roger
Thompson) took steps to form the club know as The Pub Jug Collectors
of Victoria. So an invitation was sent to fellow collectors with
this aim in view and the response was over whelming. The club was born in
June of that year. The following year changed its name to The Pub Jug
Collectors of Australia and incorporated it. We currently have on
our books over 80 Members from a far a field as New Zealand, England,
America, Netherlands and most states of Australia.
OBJECTIVES
To foster the art of collecting advertising items such as:
- Pub Jugs
- Serving Trays
- Statues
- Flagons
- All advertising item related to the Distillary and Brewery Trades
ABOUT THE CLUB
The Club meets every 3 months at different members homes around Victoria, Australia and the club produces a Quarterly newsletter, titled Kanga Kapers contents include:
- Editorials of Various Collectables
- Member Profiles
- Wanted to Sell
- Wanted to Buy
- Items to Swap
